ReStArt started in 2023 as an idea by Maria Chelidoni in her effort to help new artists. Eventually it became a multifunctional space for artists and everyone who is involve with art or loves art and makes it a piece of their life.

It is a space where art is made and stories are told.

We welcome people from every part of the globe, no matter their skill set or artistic knowledge. Join us for a while or for longer and let’s create.

Maria Chelidoni was born in Athens. She graduated from Drama School of Athens and she also holds an MA degree in Theater Pedagogy from Theater Academy of Helsinki.

From 2010 till 2023 she worked primarily as a Drama teacher in Greece, Finland and UK teaching acting and improvisation in Art Schools and Colleges: Art School of Athens, Art School of Crete, Art School of Thessaloniki, YAFTA Academy (UK), Outokumpu School of Dance (Finland), Lajasaalo College (Finland), Sibelius Lukio (Finland) to mention a few.

As an actor she has worked mainly for theater with the past few years working occasionally in front and behind the camera as well. Some of her participations: Wonderfully Alone (short film GR), Run Kara (short film UK), Peaky Blinders (BBC), Emmerdale (itv), Culture Shock (feature UK & US) and more.

Wonderfully Alone was her first short film which gained international recognition and awards for "Best first time Filmaker" and "Best Actress" for Maria.
